About the Principal

GARY L. WARTIK, J.D.

Gary L. Wartik is the principal of Vision Consulting Group.  A California native, Mr. Wartik has more than thirty years of experience in the fields of service offered by the firm.  In February, 2011, he completed nearly 13 years of service as Manager of Economic Development for the City of Thousand Oaks, California.  Mr. Wartik and his wife Laurie live in Camarillo, CA.

Mr. Wartik is active in the Ventura County community at large.  His most recent related activities include service on the following: Board of Directors of the Economic Development Collaborative-Ventura County  (2007 Chairman of the Board), Board of the Greater Conejo Valley Chamber of Commerce, Workforce Investment Board of Ventura County (appointed by the Ventura County Board of Supervisors), Board of the Alumni and Friends Association at California State University, Channel Islands, Business Advisory Board of the Smith School of Business and Economics at CSU, Channel Islands, Board of Counselors of the Business School of California Lutheran University in Thousand Oaks, and the Board of Directors of the New West Symphony located in the Conejo Valley.

One of the firm's current contracts is to provide service as Director of the Ventura County Lodging Association and its Tourism Business Improvement District.  The VCLA is comprised of sixty hotels in Camarillo, Oxnard and Ventura that work together to promote economic activity through tourism and its various components.
